Bugzilla

This post is about my (successful) attempt to migrate my Bugzilla installation from MySQL/MariaDB to PostgreSQL.

Today I found out that there are simpler things than configuring an Apache virtual host for Bugzilla to live in. With a bit of URL rewriting magic, the basics are moderately difficult to solve. What drove me crazy, though, was that the CGI scripts stubbornly generated links to /bugzilla3/skin/[...], instead of just /skin/[...].

Finally there is a Debian package for Bugzilla 2.20. I have upgraded the site to the 2.20 version.

It might seem a bit overblown to have an entire Bugzilla installation for the simple stuff that can be found on the software projects page. On the other hand, Bugzilla is a really nice defect tracking system and I would like to keep up-to-date with its development. May I present to you...
